Finding Faith

Faith is one of those things, you’ve either got or you don’t. It doesn’t matter if you grandma had it before you or not, it’s about you. Someone else’s faith is not going to get you through your life. Faith is something that we each must discover on our own. Only once we’ve found God for ourselves can we really grow in our faith. Even our own faith doesn’t guarantee our children’s, it can certainly help to develop their’s, but it’s not a guarantee.

This series was started as I was thinking more and more about my faith, what it meant to me, and how it would shape my children. It’s a long road, but as the saying goes, it’s not about the destination, but the journey. Obviously the desired destination of this journey is Heaven, but our steps on that road are what will get us there. Walking in His love, walking in faith.

“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek
Him with all your hear and with all your soul.”
Deuteronomy 4:29

I. Where do you come from?
II. Do you own your faith?
III. Where is my faith going?
IV. How will I shape my children and their faith?
