Faith

Faith. One of the biggest and most life changing forces. We here in the White House are Christians; plain and simple. Our faith is defined as this: We believe that there is only one God, He created everything, and His Son died on the cross for our sins, that we may
be forgiven.

FaithfulnessI was baptized Lutheran, and have attended a Lutheran church, a Presbyterian church, a Non-Denominational church, a Baptist Church, and now an Episcopal Church. There is no denomination with which I define or identify myself, I simply believe that Jesus died for me.

Faith has been something I’ve struggled with my whole life, as most people do. At times it was easier to believe than others. But I have ALWAYS believed, my faith may have looked differently or non-existent, but there has always been belief.

You can read my series titled Finding Faith, in which I talk extensively about my faith and what it means to me, and what it means to our children. I blog quite frequently discussing my faith, you can find those posts here. I also have my running list of Gifts from our Father, or better known as One Thousand Gifts with Ann Voskamp.

I will forewarn you: I am no great theologian, I am no biblical scholar, and I am no way an authority on the Bible, God’s Word, or on God or Jesus. I don’t even profess to be a diligent reader and studier of the Bible. I am only a person who knows WHO it is that gets me through each day, and I am trying to live a life that is pleasing to Him.
