When it comes to your friends, what kind of friend are you? Do you go out of your way to help them? Spend time with them? Now, do you the same for your husband? We all stumble on this one. Often the people who are closest and dearest to us are the ones that get put on the back-burner. Kids are rather demanding so the chances it is them, is slim to none; but our husbands….that’s another story.
This week we’re going to talk about pursuing our husbands through our priorities. I’m not talking just about making him a priority, this whole month has been about that. What I’m talking about is how you can pursue him by being more intentional in doing things for him. Whether it’s in the doing of little love notes and baking goodies or in taking a few things off of his plate.
Let me explain how this is going to work: We all appreciate it when someone does something for us, when they lighten our load. We especially appreciate it if our love language is acts of service. When we go out of way to do things for someone we are showing them that they are important to us, that the little things they may or may not ask of us are important to us, because THEY are important to us.
We get busy, we forget to do things {or become annoyed when asked to do them}, and in the forgetting we stop prioritizing our husbands. We make them feel that they’ve become another burden for us, rather than someone we WANT to be with and do things for, and that’s just not pursuing our husbands.
