The Power of the Written Word in Pursuing Your Husband

October 9, 2015 By Jessica 1 Comment

During this 31Days series, I’m hoping to share with you some additional sources of information that I recommend about the topic we’ve been talking about. This week we’ve spent a lot of time going over one of the ways we can pursue our husbands: The written word. We’ve talked about what that can look like, what we can say, and how we can make that FUN for ourselves as well!

At the beginning of the week we talked about WHY it’s important that we pursue our husband, that if we don’t do it something or someone else will. How, as their wife, God has specially equipped us to capture our husband’s hearts and how that role is best, and only, filled by us. I know this whole pursuing our husbands thing can seem really daunting at time, exhausting even, but rest in the fact that you don’t have to do this alone.

There is the written word and then there is THE WRITTEN WORD, God’s word. The ultimate path to pursuing your husband is through prayer, sharing scripture with him, pouring God’s word out over and to him. Your husband may not be keen on having bible verses tossed at him, but that doesn’t mean you can’t quietly write the words of our God down, praying them over your husband. The words we bring to our Father for our husbands have infinitely more weight than any others.

Oh how I could go on and on about how important God’s written word is in pursuing your husband, but that will have to wait for another day.
