Life isn’t about things being easy or going according to plan: It’s about what you do with the time that is given to you by God. It’s about making the best of things during the worst of times; of flourishing when life is stagnant; of honoring and singing His praise amidst the tears of joy and pain…or at least trying to.
Wife to my wonderful husband, Matthew, and mommy to our five gifts from above, Avelyn (11.1.09), Henry, James, and Elanor (12.22.11 – that’s right! Triplets!), and Peter (6.16.15 – who was born at home).
I began blogging in November 2007 as a place to write, for myself, about our fight to become parents. Over the years it has grown to encompass more of who I am as a person, not just as an infertile. I now blog about anything from books I’ve read to quilts I’ve made, recipes I’ve discovered to the many gifts God has given me in this life. {You can find my older musings at LifeintheWhiteHouse.com}
Along with a healthy dose of the craziness that is our life. I blog to share my story; to inspire others; whether it’s in their own walk through daily life as a wife and mother, or as someone struggling with the hopelessness that infertility brings. To glorify God in the doing.
I pray that somewhere in these pages you find something that speaks to you and in some way makes your day a bit brighter, your burden a bit lighter, and helps you to feel just a little bit less alone!
